The Gorilla in the Room is NOT US Support for Israel
By Bernie on 17 Jan 2008
There are quite a number of websites that would like everyone to believe that US Support of Israel is the main reason for 9/11 and the real reason THEY hate us. One of the ways to do this is to show up at the 9/11 Hearings and stage this question: "why aren't we addressing the gorilla in the room? The gorilla in the room is US support for Israel."
One particular megalomanic blogger is Representative Press who leaves the same message on numerous forums and groups throughout the Internet for the past few years, on soc.culture.israel, sci.military.naval, alt.politics.bush, War Without End Forum, and hundreds of other groups and forums. Here is a list of over 1500 postings on Google Groups alone.
But that is a good trick. If I were a truly dedicated conspiracy theorist I would have shown up at the 9/11 hearings and asked simply, "why aren't we addressing the gorilla in the room? Isn't it true that the 9/11 attack was caused by the FDA banning Red Dye #3 thereby causing Henna used by Muslim women not to be so dark and attractive which has led to the unmarriageability of most Arab men which then led them to hang around extremist mosques too long and through boredom to join the ranks of the terrorists?" And once I got this question into the record (and which they would undoubtedly refuse to acknowledge with a reply), I could pepper this question thousands of times in forums and groups and add "Why did the 9/11 Commission ignore the Red Dye #3 Ban as the main reason for the 9/11 attacks? - why aren't they addressing the gorilla in the room?"
But first of all let's clear up use of the expression, "Gorilla in the room." The correct idiom is, "Elephant in the room." One can speak of Israel as the 800 pound gorilla in the Middle East since it is economically more vibrant and powerful than all the Muslim Nations combined that surround it, but one cannot then use the expression, "The gorilla in the room is US support of Israel."
That out of the way, let's examine who really deserves a fatwa from Osama Bin Laden:
- There is a country in the world that has attacked and invaded a Muslim country before America did: The Soviet Union in Afghanistan.
- There is a country that has colonized more Islamic Republics than the British and French combined: The Soviet Union in Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan and not counting smaller states such as Chechnya and Dagestan.
- There is only one country that suppressed religious expression for millions of Muslims and destroyed mosques: The Soviet Union.
And these injuries are not from 700 years ago (the Crusades) or even 80 years ago (The Destruction of the Ottoman Empire) but of recent vintage, that is to say in Osama Bin Laden's lifetime.
Osama Bin Laden ordered a Jihad against the Crusaders and Jews not because of any recent slight, because if it were a recent slight he should have ordered a Jihad against the Soviet Union. As for America, we had nothing to do with the Crusades and the US was tangentially involved in the dissolution of the Ottoman Empire. No, the Crusaders and Jews Osama bin Laden is at war with is America's Crusaders and Jews. If the Soviet Union were the top power today instead of the US and the greatest threat to Islamic ambitions of a world Caliphate, then he would have sent his minions to attack Moscow and not New York and the Pentagon.
It is not current or past US policy, it is not current or past Soviet Policy that motivates Osama Bin Laden and Islamic terrorists, it is the 800 pound gorilla standing in the way of Islamic Global Ambitions: America. Although America had nothing to do with the Crusades, we are still Kafirs, infidels and it was infidels who started the Crusades and it was infidels who destroyed the Ottoman Empire and the greatest symbol of the Kafirs, the most powerful in all the lands of the Kafir is America.
That is why they hate us.
If Norway were the most powerful infidel country today, then Norway would be the Great Satan and bombs would be going off in that country. Osama would have overlooked the invasion of Iraq by America just as he overlooked the invasion of Afghanistan by the Soviets and Norwegians would be scratching their heads asking, "Vy do ze hate us - ve haf giffen those zu idiots Jimmy Carter and Arafat Nobel Peace Prizes for Gott's sake!"
All this other stuff, the stealing the riches of Arabia (their oil?), occupying the Arabian Peninsula, killing millions of Iraqis (1991 - while protecting both Kuwait and Saudi Arabia), the US support of Israel so as to fragment all the states of the region such as Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Sudan in order to continue with the brutal crusade occupation of the Peninsula [Osama's Fatwa against the US], these are all al Taqiyya, a slight of hand, meant to distract us from the true reason for their hatred of us: we are the most powerful Infidel Nation and we stand in their way of world conquest. In this manner, Osama gets the support of American idiots, mostly Liberals, who keep America from properly fighting the War on Terror because they have been duped into thinking that Muslims have a legitimate beef against us, that it's all America's fault, that it's because of our policy in the Middle East or support for Israel. What maroons! Muslims couldn't care less about Palestinians and certainly there is no shortage of Lebensraum among the Muslims.
Not one single Muslim country in the world has offered to take in Palestinian refugees in the past 60 years, not one. Yeah, Muslims are really crying over the plight of some Gaza sand-fleas while in their own countries they blow up buses filled with Muslim women and children.
But Osama knows that if he stated the real reason he hated America, that his goal is world conquest, he would lose most of the support of the fifth column in America, American Liberals. Most, but not all; I'm sure the Daily Kosocrats would still be on his side.
