And so too, given the popularity of the politically callow Barack Obama, perhaps what our country needs is to be taught a good lesson. Obviously we learned nothing from the disastrous Presidency of Jimmy Carter where inflation was in double-digits and any country who wanted to take American hostages could do so with impunity. The Soviets even invaded Afghanistan knowing that Carter would do nothing. I was surprised the Chinese didn't attack Taiwan given the absolute cowardice of what I am ashamed to have called our President.

So it is here that I state that I will vote for Barack Obama. We need our troops to be pulled out without regard for future consequences and every American should have healthcare despite the evidence of our northern neighbor that it is a disaster.

The rest of the world also deserves the security and economic catastrophe that will follow, since they also want another Jimmy Carter type to be elected, you know, a more negotiating kind of guy:

After eight years of President Bush, the latest mantra in U.S. politics — "transformational change" — is resonating across the rest of a planet desperate for a fresh start.

"They feel there's a real chance to work with the U.S.," said Julianne Smith, a senior fellow at the Washington-based Center for Strategic and International Studies. "America's image in the world is really on the line."

Non-Americans, she said, are looking for someone who can "restore faith in the United States."

Obama, perhaps not surprisingly, is generating most of the buzz abroad.

"Der schwarze Kennedy," some German admirers are calling him: "The black JFK."

"He is young, charming and sexy!" the mass-circulation newspaper Bild gushed. "Obama is now the ideal projection screen for hopes and expectations in Europe" and the U.S. alike, said Christian Hacke, a professor at the University of Bonn.

"I like him. I like his ideas, his attitude, his appearance. I prefer him to Hillary Clinton, who is more artificial," said Eva Berto, a Rome doctor who thinks Obama would bring a new approach to the crisis in Iraq and the nuclear standoff with Iran.

I can afford to have Obama elected - I own lots of gold so I can weather an economic collapse without problems. As for security, this country will never take the threat of Islam seriously until two or three of our larger cities are nuked, hopefully those with large Liberal populations that made it possible. I believe Obama can give our enemies the courage to do so. Certainly he will do nothing to stop a madman from developing nuclear weapons. A madman, by the way, who has no fears of Mutually-Assured-Destruction because Allah will sort it all out.
