During the Lebanon War there were many complaints from the UN and in Europe about the disproportionate response by Israel over what to Europeans seemed like a trivial event: the capture of two Israeli soldiers by Hezbollah. In addition, Liberals and Muslim apologists wet their panties in shock over the disproportionate number of Arabs killed compared to Jews. They would have us wage war so that both sides have equal casualties. I suppose Israelis, as soon as they killed 100 Hezbollah, should have uncocked their weapons and waited until Hezbollah murdered an equal number of Israelis.

Shortly after the Lebanon War, I wrote 10 Palestinians Killed for Every Israeli is intolerable - it should be 100 to 1, since there are over a billion and half Muslims and only a handful of Jews, relatively speaking.

But now I see that I grossly underestimated: 450 Palestinians are worth one Israeli life:

Meanwhile, the London-based A-Sharq al-Awasat newspaper said that Israel had offered to release prisoners who took part in large terror attacks to Gaza, but not to the West Bank. If Hamas agrees to the offer, said the newspaper, Israel will release the prisoners Hamas was demanding, including Abbas Said, the mastermind of the 2002 Pessah eve bombing of Netanya's Park Hotel.
