We Must Hurry Hurry Hurry with Health Care Reform
By Bernie on 15 Dec 2009
I have a solution to the Health Care Crisis: it's a beverage I concocted that I want our politicians in Washington to drink. It is important that they down this drink immediately.
"What's in it?" That's not important. What is critical is that they consume the beverage before they leave for Christmas recess.
"How much does it cost?" That's not important. Just down the hatch with it; I will bill you later.
"Shouldn't we analyze it for potentially dangerous ingredients?" Picky, picky, picky.
"Might it not make things worse?" The beverage won't take effect until much later so there's no immediate cause for concern. Just drink it now, fast, before the next election, without thinking about it or engaging in senseless debate, study, or analysis. Just do it.
Every minute of delay means another minute of not doing it.
We should not dither when close to 45 million Americans are uninsured, an additional 45 million are under-insured, another 45 million are badly-insured, yet another 45 million are wrongly insured and 45 million are insured but can't afford it.
