Little Ahmed Becomes A Frenchman from Planck's Constant

In my 2008 article The French Baby Boom - A Bomb waiting to Explode I wrote that by 2050 France will not be a country filled with French but with Muslims who won't be speaking French or even know anything of French culture.

Nothing illustrates this better than the fact that in the past decade Muslims have built more than a thousand new mosques in France (doubling to 2,000) while the Roman Catholic Church in France has built only 20 new churches (while closing more than 60). Shockingly, there now are more practicing Muslims in the country than practicing Catholics. ¹

More mosques by themselves do not indicate that France is heading toward cultural destruction, however, a new study reports that France "is on the brink of a major social explosion because of the failure of Muslims to integrate into French society." ²

That's what France is looking at in the next few decades: thousands more mosques filled with millions more Muslims who will refuse to become French.

Although this is not funny, it does remind me of the following French joke:

Little Ahmed entered his new class.
"What is your name?" Asked the teacher.

The child replied, "My name is Ahmed."

"We are in France, there is no Ahmed. From today your name is Jean-Francois," said the teacher.

In the evening Ahmed returned home.

"How was your day Ahmed?" Asked his mother.

"I do not have the name Ahmed. I am in France and my name is Jean-Francois."

"Ah, you are ashamed of your name, trying to deny your parents, your heritage, your religion? Shame on you!"

Then she smacked him in the face and called his father who beat little Ahmed mercilessly.

The next day Ahmed went to school.

When the teacher noticed the bruises, she asked: "What happened to my little Jean-Francois?"

"Oh dear teacher, just a while after becoming a Frenchman, I was attacked by two Muslims!

The total number of mosques in France has already doubled to more than 2,000 during just the past ten years, according to a research report "Constructing Mosques: The Governance of Islam in France and the Netherlands." France's most prominent Muslim leader, Dalil Boubakeur, who is rector of the Grand Mosque of Paris, recently called for the number of mosques in the country to be doubled again – to 4,000 – to meet growing demand.

Although 64% of the French population (or 41.6 million of France's 65 million inhabitants) identifies itself as Roman Catholic, only 4.5% (or 1.9 million) of those actually are practising Catholics, according to the French Institute of Public Opinion (or Ifop, as it is usually called).

By way of comparison, 75% (or 4.5 million) of the estimated 6 million mostly ethnic North African and sub-Saharan Muslims in France identify themselves as "believers" and 41% (or 2.5 million) say they are "practising" Muslims...

The 2,200-page report, "Banlieue de la République" (Suburbs of the Republic), is the result of a one-year research effort into the four "i's" that comprise the heart of the debate over French national identity: Islam, immigration, identity and insecurity.
The report was commissioned by the influential French think tank L'Institut Montaigne, and directed by Gilles Kepel, a well-known political scientist and specialist in the Muslim world, together with five other French researchers.

The authors of the report show that France, which has between five and six million Muslims (France has the largest Muslim population in European Union), is on the brink of a major social explosion because of the failure of Muslims to integrate into French society.
