Even if you are not a big Sopranos fan, how can you not tune in to see how the final chapter in the saga of the Soprano family concludes?
The allegiance of those closest to Tony is put to the test; a case of mistaken identity has serious ramifications.
Phil finds out that Tony's garbage trucks have been dumping asbestos at the Barone garbage transfer station.
Tony: "Whadju think it was?"
Phil: "I never asked. Tampax. F* do I know?"
Tony: "Well, now you know."
Phil wants 25% of what Tony and Stephano have been getting on the asbestos removal deal. Tony won't pay that much. Phil suggests Tony dump it in his backyard or pool.
We've had a hit in each of the three episodes of this final season. The question here, then, is David Chase intending to give us a whacking in each of the final episodes, and if so, who will get it next?
Only 5 of the episodes (out of 12) had any decent murders in Season 6 Part A; here's a quick recap of who was whacked:
With the heat turned up in Jersey, Tony and Paulie head south to cool off. Meanwhile, Junior rekindles some of his old fire in a poker game.
Tony worries about his legacy and what little love and respect he gets from Chris.
Here is the recap for episode 78 if you haven't seen the pirated copy.
It is just as Lorraine Bracco, who plays Tony's therapist, Dr. Jennifer Melfi, suggested on the CBS Early Show in March prior to the year's first episode: "I think it's a sadder season."
It has been taboo for more than 500 years. But from fcuk to Four Weddings and a Funeral, the f-word has become so commonplace it now seems acceptable in everyday conversation.
Carmela gets back to work, with her husband's help; Christopher follows in Tony's footsteps; A.J. enjoys one of his job's fringe benefits"
UPDATE: Looks like spoiler number TWO was actually on the money. And the reason the slamming trunk was not mentioned in the spoiler was because it was not in the episode despite being in the preview. Someone at HBO goofed. I despise it when scenes in previews are not in the actual aired episode. Hate it.
Johnny's lawyer Ron Perse suggests that perhaps he can avoid having most of the 5 million in assets seized if he flips.
Christopher makes a surprise announcement: Dark, high-cheekboned beauty Cara Buono will be his bride...
The world is changing. Patsy Parisi and Burt Gervasi can't shake down StarBucks for protection money. "Every last fucking bean is in the computer" they're told by the manager. Patsy opines, "It's over for the little guy".
We're here celebrating two men getting their buttons: Gerry Torciano (New York) and Burt Gervasi (New Jersey).
My own personal preferences for a Sopranos plotline is power intrigues, whackings, extortions, sausage-grindings, mayhem, murder, and mob madness.
This season, Vito has hung around the hospital while Tony Soprano was recovering from a gunshot wound, trying to ingratiate himself with Tony's wife while plotting with Paulie Walnuts to grab her cut of a big score.
Everyone has an opinion on which Sopranos episode Jumped the Shark. Episode 67, "Join the Club" has to be high up on everyone's list.
Tony could have lived a life as in the dream but he lived as a mobster because that was what he thought he was.
Now comes Episode 69, "The Fleshy Part of the Thigh" and it is so rich a meal it's almost impossible to enjoy all of it in one sitting.
Eugene is a member of the crew that was headed by Ralph Cifaretto, and was one of the few people who actually seemed to get along with the late capo. He's one of the newer made guys in New Jersey; he got his button at the same ceremony as Christopher.
Once you're in the "Family" you stay in the family at the pain of death. The only way out early is suicide.
